Every photo session requires a plan, but some projects come with extra moving parts. In these project stories, I’m taking you behind the scenes of some of my more complex shoots—from making it rain under clear skies to staging a rock concert in an empty plaza.

 My philosophy is simple: I want to get the shot right in-camera. While I’m perfectly capable in Photoshop, I find much more satisfaction in using the skills and resources I’ve gathered over the last 40 years to capture the perfect image in the moment.

 I created these stories to give my clients a clear look at my process and to offer my fellow photographers some new perspectives on tackling creative challenges. I love sharing what I’ve learned, and I hope these stories spark some inspiration for your next project.
