Brandon Jackson has been a photographer for over 30 years, and during that time, the subject most often found in front of his lens has been people. Engaging with individuals to reveal something genuine about who they are has often been the goal.

From his early days learning film and darkroom techniques to his years running a photo lab and studio, every step deepened his understanding of both the art and craft of photography.

As Brandon’s technical skills grew, he discovered that true creativity comes when the mechanics fade into muscle memory, when there’s room again to connect, to notice, and to feel. His work today spans portrait, fashion, lifestyle, street, and documentary photography, but at its heart, it’s always about people and the stories they carry.

A lifelong student, Brandon continues to learn from others and from the world around him. He aims to create images that are expressive and open-ended, detailed enough to share his vision, yet loose enough for the viewer to imagine their own story inside the frame.
