Eliana Beside Herself

While the bathroom might not be the most glamorous setting for a photo, Eliana turned this space into a setting of beauty. The glare here creates a ghostly reflection of her while you can see her hand and shoulder through the glass creating a subtly surreal effect here. All of that is secondary to how lovely Eli appears here and how she holds the viewer’s attention with her engagement with the camera.

Framed by the Town

Sonia bathed in the morning light of the old city in Palma. We had the use of a flat in Palma for a few hours, and I love how the scene in the window frames Sonia here. The video shows here right when she hit this pose and the two of us reviewing this set of images after 🙂

Conjuring Beauty with Christiana

Christiana creates magic when she’s in front of the camera, as she’s demonstrating here. Her eyes look right through you as she’s partially covering her face with this open weave scarf which puts even more emphasis on her amazing eyes!

Spotlight on Sophie

During our shoot with Sophie at Arts & Sciences, we walked through this space where the sun was streaming through from a nearby stairway. This area is where cars and buses can drive through to drop off visitors and was in deep shadow. This created a wonderful “frame” to the sunlight where Sophie was walking. Her far-away stare and casual stance seem a stark contrast to how she is a beautiful, bright spot in an otherwise dark space.

Dazzling Drue

The lovely Drue Allred lighting up this space during our recent street shoot. A couple of days after our session with the red chair and her violin, we got together for an “on the streets” session. Drue has an amazing natural beauty and she’s very at ease in front of the camera. She actually had her violin with her (thanks Colin!) and we completely forgot to have her break it out and create some images with it on this morning. We’ll have to shoot with her again while she’s here to remedy that 🙂

Classic Style with Karina

My absolute favorite shot from my session with Karina last week. I was going for the classic Hollywood vibe that I love to shoot and between the light, the dress, and Karina’s classic beauty I feel we achieved it.

The dress really wants to be the star of the show here, but Karina’s expression and obvious “fit” shape leaves it playing only a supporting role.

Sophie in Red

I was thrilled to hear from Sophie recently that she would be visiting Valencia again. Not only for a chance to shoot with her again (you can see why!) but also to catch up with her as well as share a meal with her and her parents who were also visiting.
