Reina returns today with another shot from our time during Anja’s Fashion Bootcamp. Here I decided to go with a bit of a false color grade adding some extra green in the shadows and midtones with a touch of yellow in the highlights to bring the skin tones closer to true (but not all the way). A little “crunch” was added in the form of some “clarity” but it is tamed with negative texture for the final effect. The results might not be to everyone’s taste, but you can’t make everyone happy all the time so sometimes, like here, I don’t even try 🙂

During the first day of the Fashion Boot Camp with Anja Ekstrøm Sylvest we headed out for a sail for some “on the water” photos with Sheila. While this image seems to capture a still and pensive moment, the truth is there was a lot more working going into steadying ourselves than you might think :). It was worth it in the end and Sheila was a real trooper during the two hours we were on the Mediterranean.

Knowing I was coming to Anja’s fashion photography boot camp, I reached out to a model local to Malaga to do a shoot out on my on during some of the downtime. I have to say I’m thrilled with what Victoria Real and I created together in the hour we spent shooting on the streets of Malebena. We came away with so many “keepers” from this shoot that you’ll be seeing here again in the coming weeks for sure. She was so nice, professional, and obviously lovely.
